Sustainable Raw Materials
All of our print and book editions prioritise environmental responsibility in their design. No matter where they are being made, we place a strong emphasis on sourcing raw materials which are approved as sustainable by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
The limited edition archival books are made using ancient hand binding methods which use little energy and the use of solvent free, ph-neutral, water based adhesives and bleach-free, usually wood-free papers serves to both reduce the environmental impact of the archival editions and give them exceptional longevity.
Since 1999 Allan Pollok-Morris and Northfield Editions have directly supported the work of the charity Trees For Life. Thanks to the help and efforts of our clients this has led to the planting of over 60,000 mixed native trees in permanent, managed forestry as part of the restoration of the Caledonian Forest in the northwest Highlands of Scotland.
